Writing for Wellness: Into The Forest

A Spring Journaling Retreat in a Bluebell-Filled Forest in collaboration with Fleeting Fern.

As the bluebells bloom and nature awakens, join us for a truly immersive Writing for Wellness Workshop designed to restore balance, calm the nervous system, and reconnect you with yourself and the natural world. Set in a breathtaking woodland filled with spring’s vibrant energy, this unique experience blends forest bathing, nature immersion, and guided journaling, offering a deeply grounding and restorative retreat from daily life.

What to Expect

Forest Bathing & Nature Immersion Led by Samantha at Fleeting Fern.

We begin the day by slowing down and tuning in to the rhythms of the forest. Through the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), we will walk gently among the trees, breathing deeply, absorbing the sights, sounds, and scents of spring. This mindful connection with nature has been scientifically proven to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and bring a sense of deep calm and presence.

You will be encouraged to engage all your senses—feeling the texture of tree bark, listening to birdsong, noticing the dance of light through the canopy, and inhaling the fresh woodland air. By attuning ourselves to the root system of trees, we will explore how the nervous system mirrors the intricate network beneath our feet—both resilient and interconnected.

Light Refreshments & Reflection

Following our time in nature, we will gather in a peaceful clearing to enjoy a light snack and refreshing drinks. This is a chance to reflect on your experience, share insights with fellow participants if you choose, and settle into a space of inner stillness before we transition into our guided journaling session.
